Raymond C. Senile – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)
Raymond C. Senile, 91, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), passed peacefully Monday evening, December 15, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, with family at his side.
Born February 13, 1923, he was the last surviving child born to the late Romeo and Phoebe (Young) Senile. He worked as an electrician at Weirton’s Steel diesel shop, and after retiring from there, he went to work for Larch Heating, also of Weirton. He was a member of the Christian Church of New Cumberland, WV. A veteran of World War II, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the Destroyer Escort USS Varian. Continue reading

Floyd W. Reckner Sr., 60, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.), passed Sunday evening, December 14, 2014, with family at his side at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Lawrence C. Phillis, 86, formerly of Aliquippa, died Tuesday morning, November 11, 2014, at Friendship Ridge.
Born Feb. 27, 1928, in Burgettstown, a son of the late Carlise S. and Pearl (Moore) Phillis, he worked as a customer service representative for Peoples Gas in Aliquippa for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.

Lynne E. Rattigan, 71, of Georgetown (Greene Twp.), died Wednesday evening, November 5, 2014, at Good Samaritan, Beaver.
Born April 18, 1943, in Rochester, she was the beloved daughter of Marian Leigh (Buckley) Shroads of Darlington and the late Paul Edward Shroads. Lynne had worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the health care industry. Most proud of her music, she played clarinet in the Louisville Wind Symphony and studied music therapy with the harp. Continue reading

Steven C. Waxler, 57, of Hookstown (Greene Township), died peacefully Wednesday morning November 5, 2014, in the comfort of his home in the arms of his daughter.
Born April 17, 1957 in Rochester, he was the beloved son of Frank C. Waxler of Hookstown and the late Arlene (Barton) Waxler who died Dec. 3, 1996. He had worked as a lead dock hand for the former Bax Global Co. of Moon Twp. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Joseph Tuttle and loved being with his family. Donald M. McCoy, 85, of Aliquippa (Greene Twp.), died Saturday evening, October 11, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, with his family at his side.
Born November 30, 1928, in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Mont R. and Anna M. (Shay) McCoy. Mr. McCoy was a member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder and trustee, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He retired from LTV Steel, where he had worked as a machinist, and he had also worked at Spectrim Machine Co., Vanport. Continue reading
