Wayne L. Boyd – HOOKSTOWN (HANOVER TWP.)
Wayne L. Boyd, 74, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died Friday afternoon, August 28, 2015, in the comfort of his home with family at his side.
Born June 10, 1941, in Hookstown, he was the last surviving child born to the late Delbert H. and Marie (Glenn) Boyd. He was a farmer all of his life, and after retiring from farming, he continued working with Greene Twp. Continue reading
Dorothy Waddingham – GEORGETOWN (GREENE TWP.)
Dorothy Waddingham, 89, of Georgetown (Greene Twp.), died Thursday afternoon, August 20, 2015, in the comfort of her home, with family at her side.
Born October 7, 1925, in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late David T. and Mary (Kocienda) Rambo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John M. Waddingham Sr.; a son, John M. Waddingham Jr.; two daughters, Judith Waddingham and Jeanne Pillar; a brother, Daniel Rambo; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Howard Bailes, and a sister, Anna Marie Short. Continue reading
John S. Hudack – GEORGETOWN
John S. Hudack, 73, of Georgetown, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, at his home.
Born July 27, 1942, in Homestead, Pa., he is the son of the late John F. and Anna Mae (Chadwick) Hudack.
John served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was retired from USAir Fleet after 25 years of service. He served on the Hanover Twp. Planning Commission for 21 years and was the Director for 15 Years; started the first Agricultural Security Area in Beaver County and helped form the Beaver County Agricultural Land Preservation Board and served as Vice-Chairman for 21 years; was a past Associate Director and Director of the Beaver County Conservation District; served on the Penn State Cooperative Extension Executive Board for 6 years and was Vice-President for 5 years; was a current member of the statewide Pa. Farmland Preservation Association, and he was a cattle farmer. Continue reading
