Virginia H. Boyce, 74, of Clinton (Hanover Twp.), died Thursday morning, October 31, 2013, in the comfort of her home, with her friend at her side.

Bruce Everett Quade – HANOVER TOWNSHIP

Bruce Everett Quade, 68, of Hanover Township, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning, October 19, 2013, in his Hanover Twp. home.

Born July 12, 1945, in Ames, Iowa, he was the beloved son of Everett Donovan Quade of Apollo and the late Eileen C. (Swan) Quade.  Mr. Quade was retired from US Airways having worked as a mechanic for 38 ½ years.  A member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, he was also the sound man and technician for his church and the Trinity Choir and One Voice Music Festival.  He was a member of the Doric Lodge #630 F&AM Sewickley and a member of the IAM Lodge #1976. Hazel Ring – FORMERLY OF GEORGETOWN

Hazel Ring, formerly of Georgetown, more recently of Moon Township, died Tuesday morning, October 15, 2013, in the Hunter’s Personal Care Home.
Born May 8, 1928, in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Harry G. and Nora Lee (Camel) Allison. A homemaker, she was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church, Moon Twp., and a former employee of the Moon Twp. School District.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Walter Ring; two brothers, Harry C. Allison and David G. Allison, and a sister, Dorothy Steele. Continue reading

Jeffrey Clay Staley – FORMERLY OF GEORGETOWN

Jeffrey Clay Staley, formerly of Georgetown and most recently of Weirton, WV, died Sunday, October 13, 2013, in his Weirton residence.

Born Oct. 8 1960, in Weirton, WV, the beloved son of Jack L. Staley of Georgetown and the late Carol Ann (Pelter) Staley, who died July 16, 2007, he had worked as a truck driver in the shipping industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Continue reading

Bernard W. Stewart – CHESTER, WEST VIRGINIA

Bernard W. Stewart, 85, of Chester, WV, died peacefully in the comfort of his home with his wife at his side on Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2013.

Born January 2, 1928, in Hookstown, he was the last surviving child of 10 children born to the late Wayne and Florence Mae (Bell) Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a longtime and very active member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, holding positions of head usher, trustee and had served on the Board of Directors. He retired in 1985 after 34 years of service from Arco Chemical Plant in Monaca, having worked in the poly styrene department. A former member of the Hookstown Grange for over 25 years, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, and a member of the South Side Senior Citizens and the Arco Retirees Club. Anthony E. Scialabba Jr. – GEORGETOWN (GREENE TOWNSHIP)

Anthony E. Scialabba Jr., 48, of Greene Twp., Georgetown, died Tuesday afternoon, October 8, 2013, in the emergency room of Heritage Valley Beaver, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident earlier that day.

Born June 26, 1965, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Anthony E. Scialabba Sr. and Ruth Ann Barnett Scialabba. A loving husband and devoted father, Anthony worked as an airline mechanic with US Airways. He was a member of the Hookstown American Legion and the American Motorcycle Association. Continue reading
