Bonita Arlene Dailey – Georgetown (Greene Twp.)

Bonita Arlene Dailey, 69, of Georgetown (Greene Twp.), formerly of New Cumberland, W.V., died Sunday afternoon September 20, 2020, in the Weirton Medical Center. Born July 31, 1951, in New Martinsville, W.V. She was a daughter of the late Russell A. and Betty Lou (Rice) Dennis Mercer.

Bonita had worked as a certified CNA in the health care industry and was a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 years, Richard E. (Dick) Dailey and a brother Russell Eugene Dennis. Continue reading

Pearl B. Jordan – Hookstown (Hanover Twp.)

Pearl B. Jordan, 84, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died quietly Saturday morning, September 19, 2020, in the comfort of her home.

Born December 1, 1935, in Wheeler, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Retha (Collins) Brown and her stepfather Lester Brown.

A homemaker, Pearl was an avid gardener who enjoyed sewing and spending her time on the family property.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bacil Brown and sisters, Ellen Gibson, Mary Myers, Ruth Moats and Joy Allison. Continue reading

David P. Wilson, Jr. – Beaver (Brighton Twp.)

David P. Wilson, Jr., 65, of Beaver (Brighton Twp.), died unexpectedly Sunday morning, September 13, 2020.

Born January 11, 1955, in Huntington, W.Va., he was a son of the late David Wilson, Sr. and Peggy Jo (Frazier) Wilson. He had worked as a merchant mariner and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving for 22 years. He served as a Tugmaster, and Special Warfare Combatant Craft Crew Member. Additionally, he was a crew master diver, and also worked for the Edison Chouest Offshore. He received the U.S. Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal and Expert Pistol Shot Medal, and Surface Warfare Specialist Designation and many more.
