STAFF BIOGRAPHIES

Dan McConnell, a licensed funeral director since 1982, is a native of Clinton, PA. He is the son of the late John R. & Marie A. (Krawchyk) McConnell. He is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, and acquired the Hookstown property in March of 2010, fulfilling his life-long dream of funeral home ownership when he opened as McConnell Funeral Home in September of 2010.

He began complete renovations of both the funeral home and garage buildings in January of 2011 and completed that endeavor in June of 2011. One of the cornerstones of his beliefs is to treat every family he serves as he would wish to be treated in a similar situation… a belief that is also instilled in his staff members as well.

In addition to his responsibilities of running the funeral home, he enjoys spending time with his siblings; brother Dennis and his wife Terri (Bres) McConnell and their sons Zac and Josh, and his sister Debbie and her husband Jerome Vergenes, and their daughter Paige, along with his friends.

He enjoys being active in community affairs and volunteering his time whenever possible.
