David K. Cooper Sr., 61, of Georgetown (Greene Twp.), passed away unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon, May 31, 2015.

Born May 16, 1954, in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late William and Anna (Krizan) Cooper, he was a heavy equipment operator for Alex E. Paris Contracting of Atlasburg.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Hookstown Post No. 952, and a member of the US Steel Workers Local No. 14693.   Continue reading

John Walter Weber, 76, of Clinton (Hanover Twp.), died unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday evening, May 29, 2015, around 9:50 p.m. in his home on Weber Road.

Born June 23, 1938, in Clinton, he was a son of the late Edward A. and Mary Margaret (Leonard) Weber. He was a retired mill worker from J&L Steel and was a member of the Imperial Church of the Nazarene. Continue reading

Gale G. Pence, 79, of Aliquippa (Raccoon Township), died Thursday afternoon, May 28, 2015, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, with his family at his side.

Born Dec. 22, 1935, in Rochester he was a son of the late William E. and Ethel (Weber) Pence. He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served two tours in Vietnam which he loved sharing stories about, enjoyed Bluegrass music, fishing, garage sales, recycling, mowing grass and attending Mt. Rudolph “Rudy” Livada Jr., 81, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died unexpectedly Monday evening, May 18, 2015, at his Hookstown residence.

Born in Hookstown on May 12, 1934, he was a son of the late Rudolph Sr. and Katherine (Kolorich) Livada. He had worked for 21 years with the Tellish Construction Company of Hookstown and was a member of the United Steelworkers organization, previously working for LTV Steel, Aliquippa Works. Jack A. Robison, 86, of Monaca (Center Twp.), died Thursday evening May 14, 2015 at Beaver Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 10, 1929, in Aliquippa, he was the last surviving child born to the late William and Elizabeth (Campbell) Robison. Mr. Robison was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy and was retired from Westinghouse, Vanport, after 40 years of service where he worked as a store room attendant. Continue reading

Born September 16, 1950, in Steubenville, OH, he was a son of Doris E. (Ryan) Frazier of Georgetown and the late Loyd J. Frazier. A steelworker at Weirton Steel, he was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, Hookstown American Legion, the Bethel United Methodist Church, and was a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
