June 21, 1964 – December 14, 2015

Rhonda Faye Rockacharlie Cain, of Georgetown, went to be with her Lord and loved ones who passed before her. A native of Indiantown, Florida, she was the daughter of Sanford Charles and Jacqueline Mae St. Clair Rockacharlie.

Overcoming many obstacles and doctors’ predictions, she “put on her Italian” and lived every day as though there would be no tomorrow. She lived a rich, full life, raising two loving daughters as well as graduating from high school early and graduating from Indian River Community College as a medical technician. She made her career in dialysis for twenty years; starting at the bottom, she became the top-rated dialysis tech on the east coast, working in both Florida and Pennsylvania. Continue reading →

Matthew James Weekley, 30, of Moon Township, died Saturday, December 12, 2015, at UPMC Shadyside.

Born March 17, 1985, in Barberton, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Michael and his wife Norma Weekley, South Carolina and Lisa and her husband, Bill Kozel, Erie.  Matthew was a student whose biggest passion was computers and earlier in his life he enjoyed soccer and Boy Scouting. Margery H. (Bradford) Houser, of Aliquippa (Raccoon Twp.), died Saturday morning, November 21, 2015, at Friendship Ridge.

Born Aug. 29, 1918, in Stoneboro, PA, she was a daughter of the late Burton Sommers and Byrd (Houser) Bradford.  Margery was a Christian, a homemaker, wonderful cook, skilled woodworker and talented pianist.  On a Sunday afternoon, she enjoyed Chinese checkers, Jacks, Scrabble and other table games with her children and grandchildren.  We will miss our mom but her and dad are having a great reunion. Clinton R. McKee, 89, formerly of Hopewell Township, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Alabama.

Born May 7, 1926, in Aliquippa, he was a son of the late Clinton and Margaret (McConnell) McKee. He was a retired steel worker and a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served in World War II. Continue reading →

Gertrude A. Starr Burris, 90, of Shippingport Borough, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born August 13, 1925, in Shippingport, she was the last surviving child born to the late Howard and Elizabeth (Wallace) Green.  A homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, she was also a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church. Continue reading →

Norma Jean Black, 74, of Clinton (Hanover Twp.), died Wednesday morning, September 23, 2015, in the comfort of her home.

Born Dec. 2, 1940, in Canaan, WV, a daughter of the late John D. and Ruby Marie (Gould) Rice, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Community Bible Church, Aliquippa, and a former bus driver for the Community Bible’s Church’s School, Bethel Christian School. She also enjoyed embroidery. Continue reading →

Wayne L. Boyd, 74, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died Friday afternoon, August 28, 2015, in the comfort of his home with family at his side.

Born June 10, 1941, in Hookstown, he was the last surviving child born to the late Delbert H. and Marie (Glenn) Boyd.  He was a farmer all of his life, and after retiring from farming, he continued working with Greene Twp. Continue reading →

Dorothy Waddingham, 89, of Georgetown (Greene Twp.), died Thursday afternoon, August 20, 2015, in the comfort of her home, with family at her side.

Born October 7, 1925, in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late David T. and Mary (Kocienda) Rambo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, John M. Waddingham Sr.; a son, John M. Waddingham Jr.; two daughters, Judith Waddingham and Jeanne Pillar; a brother, Daniel Rambo; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Howard Bailes, and a sister, Anna Marie Short. John S. Hudack, 73, of Georgetown, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015, at his home.

Born July 27, 1942, in Homestead, Pa., he is the son of the late John F. and Anna Mae (Chadwick) Hudack.

John served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was retired from USAir Fleet after 25 years of service. He served on the Hanover Twp. Planning Commission for 21 years and was the Director for 15 Years;  started the first Agricultural Security Area in Beaver County and helped form the Beaver County Agricultural Land Preservation Board and served as Vice-Chairman for 21 years; was a past Associate Director and Director of the Beaver County Conservation District; served on the Penn State Cooperative Extension Executive Board for 6 years and was Vice-President for 5 years; was a current member of the statewide Pa. Farmland Preservation Association, and he was a cattle farmer. Continue reading →
