Miles T. Rogish Jr. – RACCOON TOWNSHIP
Miles T. Rogish Jr., of Raccoon Township, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 9, 2012.
Miles is survived by the love of his life, Rosalie (Collins) Rogish; his children, Linda (Don) Nisly of New Port Richey, FL, Dorothy (Gary) Rich of Glendale, AZ, Diane (Terry) Moore of Hookstown, Miles T. Rogish III of York, England, and Mark (Andrea) Rogish of Raccoon Township. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Helen R. (McDowell) Snyder – GREENE TOWNSHIP
Helen R. (McDowell) Snyder, 97, of Greene Twp., died Thursday afternoon, June 14, 2012, at Passavant Retirement Community of Zelienople.
Born May 14, 1915, in Hookstown, she was the last surviving child born to the late Lloyd and Grayce (Pyles) McDowell. A homemaker, she was a lifelong member of the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a deacon. She was an original 4-H Club member of Beaver County, serving as a leader for many years for the Mechanicsburg and Hanover Agricultural 4-H Clubs. She drove the first school bus in Beaver County for Reed, Ralston and Mercer one-room schools. She was a member of the South Side Rural Chorus and her church choir. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Midland. She enjoyed sewing and making pies for the Hookstown Fair.
Norman Wesley Radike – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TWP.)
Norman Wesley Radike, 58, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.) died Saturday evening, June 9, 2012, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends.
Born March 8, 1954, in Phoenix, Ariz., he was the son of the late Norman Wesley and Vera (Harwood) Radike. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War and was employed by the Bayer Corp. working as a machinist. Wes was a large part of the South Side School districts community. He loved motorcycles and music.
Mildred R. Boone – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TWP.)
Mildred R. Boone, 92, of Hookstown (Greene Township), died unexpectedly Friday, June 1, 2012, at her Hookstown residence.
Born April 26, 1920, in McKees Rocks, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Lutton) Ross. She was a member of the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church, Hookstown, and was a retired registered nurse having worked at the Sewickley Valley Hospital as a private duty nurse. She was also a member of the South Side Senior Citizens.
Amy J. Narry – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TWP.)
Amy J. Narry, 51, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.), died Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2012 in the comfort of her home with family at her side.
Born December 19, 1960, in Rochester, she was a daughter of Margaret (Fellows) Stanley of Brookfield, OH and the late Robert L. Stanley. She was a member of the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon and involved in the Children's Music Ministry and the Praise Team. Amy was also a beautician, last employed at Fox Crest in Chester, WV.
Imagene Reed – GEORGETOWN
Imagene Reed, 77, Georgetown, died Sunday morning, May 6, 2012 in the comfort of her home with family at her side.
Born April 15, 1935 in Leatard, WV, she was a daughter of the late Huebert and Phoebe (Howell) Boyer. She worked as a caregiver in the health field and had attended the Hookstown Free Methodist Church.
Edward Paul Kosanovich – NEW BRIGHTON
Edward Paul Kosanovich, 52, New Brighton, died Saturday afternoon May 5, 2012 in the comfort of his home with his wife and family by his side following a brief illness.
Born November 13, 1959 in New Brighton, he was the beloved son of Shirley (Liberty) Kosanovich, New Brighton and the late Paul Kosanovich. He was employed at the J. W. Steel Fabricating Company in Mars for 24 years. He enjoyed restoring cars, and was an avid Steelers fan.
Donald Leroy Plance – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)
Donald Leroy Plance, 92, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died Thursday morning, April 26, 2012 in the comfort of his home with family at his side.
Born March 24, 1920, in Burgettstown, he was a son of the late Lee and Margaret (Work) Plance. Mr. Plance was a retired laborer in the construction trade and was a member of Laborers International Union of North America #833. A veteran of World War II, he served in the US Army as a PFC. He was a member of the Hookstown American Legion.
Melissa Culley – EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO
Melissa Leah Culley, 31, of East Liverpool, Ohio, formerly of Georgetown, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at her East Liverpool residence.
Born Feb. 1, 1981, in Beaver, she was the beloved daughter of Mark and Patricia (Price) Culley of Georgetown. Also surviving are her sons: Kameron, Nathan, Issac, Gavin, and Carson and the late Caiden; a sister, Marcie Culley, Georgetown; six nieces, one nephew and numerous aunts, uncles and friends survive.
Robert G. ‘Gary’ Hopwood – GEORGETOWN
Robert G. "Gary" Hopwood, 71, of Georgetown (Greene Township), died April 6, 2012, in UPMC Shadyside following a brief battle with leukemia.
Born February 14, 1941, in Uniontown, a son of the late Garnet (Hopwood) DiDonato, he was the beloved husband of Scherie Halstead Hopwood; the couple were married June 11, 1966.
