Norma Russell
Norma Russell, born December 14, 1956 in Sewickley, PA passed away October 18, 2025. Norma was daughter to the late Virgil and Rose (Dequasie) Russell.
Norma was devoted sister, cherished aunt and loyal best friend. She loved her family unconditionally and found joy spending time with them, always making each one feel special and deeply loved. Normal loved to travel, dance, sing, bake cookies, and celebrate holidays with her loved ones. Mostly, Norma enjoyed her life and did everything in her power to make sure her family and friends did as well. Norma was a dedicated employee, working much of her career for Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania, where she was district manager. Working at Goodwill, she touched the lives of many employees and customers throughout her long career. She then worked at Monaca Walmart where she met every customer with a smile. Norma also dedicated herself to helping students as a teacher’s aide at New Horizon School. Her students and coworkers held a special place in her heart and she loved to tell stories about her days in the school.
Proceeding her in death, in addition to her parents, were a brother, Perry Russell; a sister, Helen Yoho; a brother, Harry Russell; and two nephews, Kenny Dotson and Louis Yoho.
Survived by: siblings Anrea (Dennis) Yoho of Aliquippa PA, Jennifer (Kevin) Dotson of Lumberport WV, Linda Snowden of Jacksonville FL, Frances (Ralph) Cannon of Hookstown PA; sister in law, Kim Russell of Hopewell PA; nieces, Carmeleda Stiner, Jeannie Henry, Ashleigh Deal, Jessica Dotson, Rebecca Cannon, and Kaitlyn Russell; nephews, Joshua Cannon, Calvin and Max Snowden, and Shane Russell.
There will be no services at this time. A memorial with family is planned for a later date. Professional services provided by the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050.
