Ernest L. Hoffman Sr. – Clinton (Independence Twp.)

Ernest L. Hoffman Sr. 90, of Clinton (Independence Twp.) passed Monday evening, March 24, 2025 at UPMC-Mercy Hospital. Born January 22, 1935 in Waynesburg. He was a son of the late Guy M. & Vista A. (Garber) Hoffman. Ernest had worked as a welder at J&L Steel Aliquippa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Marie (Fox) Hoffman. 2 brothers, Guy and Harold Hoffman and a sister Roberta Hoffman.

Surviving are his children and spouses, Susan Marie and her husband Garth H. Jr. Wilson, Ernest & Robin Hoffman and Cyndi and her late husband Steve Taylor, his sister Shirley and her husband Tom Huddlestan and his brother Ronald and his wife Ruby Hoffman. Grandfather of 4, great grandfather of 6 and great great grandfather of 2.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA. 15050 on Thursday, March 27th from 2pm until 6pm. Services will be private and cremation will follow.
