David Carl ‘Sonny’ Nusser – Georgetown
David Carl ‘Sonny’ Nusser,91, a lifelong resident of Georgetown passed Sunday morning, June 29, 2025 in the comfort of his home with family at his side. Born April 14, 1934 in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Gabe and Cora Adine (Duncan) Nusser. Dave was a retired lock master with the Army Corps. Of Engineers, a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and especially gardening.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Carol Lea ‘Kay’ Nusser on October 3, 2018 and 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Surviving are his sons, David & Cathy Nusser, Steve & Lisa Nusser and Dale Nusser & Ron Eddy, his daughter Sharon Nusser. Brother of John & Harriet Nusser, Harry Nusser and Alice & Earl Hanlon. Grandfather of 6, Stephanie Coker, Steven & Molly Nusser, Jenny & Brandon Gianella, Cassie & Snook Hill, Joshua & Katie Fuller and Mark Fuller. Also, great grandfather of 10.
Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St. Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where his service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11 am. Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
