Carol L. Lugowski – Hookstown

Carol L. Lugowski, 87 of Hookstown passed Friday morning, August 15, 2025 in the comfort of her home of 51 years with the love of family around her. Born January 13, 1938 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Olive (Woods) Porter. Her story, her song praising her Savior all day long. Carol was a devoted member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church. Her first job was at Pittsburgh Mercantile, she then met the love of her life while working at Sewickley Valley Hospital from 1961 until 1964. To then retire from the Medical Center Beaver as an EKG technician in 2008. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and crafting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Michael Lugowski of 33 years, her brothers Ronald, Gene, Dale and Dennis Porter. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joanie Lugowski with whom she made her home, Mary & her husband Albert Carter, Julie Reed, Rebecca & her husband Herb Brunton. Treasured Grandmother of 6: Olivia Mae & her wife Luca Farkas, Richard Brunton, Thomas Brunton, Cole Brunton, Jeremiah Carter and Michael Carter.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Wednesday, August 20th from 6-8 pm only, her service will be held Thursday August 21st at 11 am. Her pastor the Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery; Georgetown. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you honor her memory by giving a gift from the heart and cherishing time with those you love.
