Mary A. McAfee – Hookstown (Frankfort Springs)

Mary A. McAfee, 53 of Hookstown (Frankfort Springs) passed unexpectedly, Monday morning, March 10, 2025 at her Hookstown home. Born November 1, 1971 in Oakdale, she is the beloved daughter of Cathy (Smitsky) McAfee and the late Charles W. McAfee. Mary had worked as a cook at the Ponderosa Golf Club, she loved sunflowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Doug Sargent and an infant sister, Charlotte Lynn McAfee.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Mario Benzant, her children are Robert Joseph Brown, Brittany & her husband Robert Dolan and Victoria Brown. Sister of Charles “Bummer” McAfee and Jody Sargent. Daughter in law of Gladys Acevedo & Mario Benzant. Cherished grandmother of Dillon & Jaylynn Dolan and Lorraina Brown.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA. 15050 on Wednesday, March 12th from 11 am until the time of her service at 2 pm. Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery; Georgetown.
