Mary L. Davy – Moon Township (formerly of Hookstown)

We come together to celebrate the life of Mary L. Davy, a beloved member of our community who passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Cedar Hill in Moon Township at the age of 86. Born on October 5, 1938, in Hookstown, Pennsylvania, Mary was the cherished daughter of the late William and Grace Allison Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Davy; her son, Daniel Green; and her dear siblings, Nancy Nichol, Jean Benneche, Lucinda, Julia, and Betty.

Mary dedicated many valuable years of her life caring for others as a housekeeper at Golf View Nursing Home. She was an active member of Mount Pleasant United Presbyterian Church in Aliquippa, where she found joy and connection. Mary loved spending time with her friends, whether they were shopping together or enjoying life’s little adventures. Her dogs brought her immense joy and companionship.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children: Mary “Susan” Lowe of Dayton, OH; Tim Green (Janie) of Hookstown; David Green (Janet) of Johnson City, TN; and Thomas Green of Morgantown, WV. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Tommy, and Brittany Green.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join her graveside service at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Route #168, Georgetown, on Wednesday, June 4, at 1 PM, officiated by Rev. Richard Herbster. Professional services have been entrusted to McConnell Funeral Home, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA.
