Donna M. Rakoczy – Clinton
Donna M. Rakoczy, 86, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
Born September 11, 1937, in Clinton, Pa., she is the daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Bauer) Skvarj. Donna retired from PNC Bank in 1997 as a manager after 26 ½ years. She was a member of St. Columbkille Church, St. Isidore the Farmer Parish.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Rakoczy, two brothers, John Skvarj and Richard Skvarj; three sisters, Mary Hissom, Helen Carr and Rose Doerr.
Surviving are her children, Jim Rakoczy and his wife Karen of Hookstown, Kathy Sattler and her husband Terry of Prosperity, and Betsy Marvich and her husband Dave of Georgetown, and a foster son Anthony Sacco and his wife Sara of Colorado. Also suffering a deep sense of loss are her grandchildren, James Rakoczy, Katie Rakoczy, Kristen (Joel) Levy, Heather (Ian) Martin, Jon (Ashley) Sattler, Adam (Bridget) Sattler, Matthew (Madeline, Alex) Marvich, Nicholas Marvich, Brandon Bruce, Bria Bruce and Braylee Bruce, and Abby Sacco. Her great grandchildren are Mackenzie Martin, Jackson Martin, Jacob Marvich Finnick Sattler, Elliana Sattler, Killian Sattler, Josslynn Sattler and Mason Levy.
Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St. Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Joseph H. Carr, officiating. She will be laid to rest in Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.
