Thomas W. Allison Sr. – Raccoon Township

Thomas W. Allison Sr. of Raccoon Township passed away comfortably at home December 28th, 2025.

Tom was born July 30, 1935 to LaNora (Campbell) and Harry Allison. Tom served in the US Airforce in 1954 to 1958. After his service, he returned to work at Cruciable and J&L Steel in Midland, Pa., until he retired. Tom married his wife, Alice (Cujas) Allison on October 15th, 1960, and they bought her family farm. They raised their children Vikki and Tommy. He was a hobby farmer and enjoyed taking care of his cows and tending to his garden.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, 5 siblings, Hazel, Annie, Al, David and John, his wife Alice and daughter Victoria Dalton.

Tom was survived by his son, Thomas (Julie) Allison Jr, son-in-law Gregory Dalton, sister-in-laws Debbie Allison, Donna Allison and Iris (Pat) McCon.  His grandchildren Jeremiah (Abby) Dalton, Michelle (Jeremy) Wagaman, Brian (Ashley) Dalton, Gregory T. (Lauren) Dalton, and Nick (Erin) Allison. Great grandchildren Andrew, Emma, Carmelita, Anthony, Lilly, Gabriel, Isabel, Amelia, Carter, Briana and Walker. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Raccoon Township.  When Mt. Pleasant acquired their first bus, they offered classes to be a driver.  He signed up and was one of the church drivers.  He also became a substitute bus driver for South Side and Hopewell schools.

The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for the excellent care given to allow Tom to come home and be cared for by his granddaughter until his passing.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME on Friday January 2nd from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. His service will be held Saturday, January 3rd at 11 am at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine Street, Hookstown, Pa 15050. His pastor the Rev. Richard Herbster will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery; Georgetown.
