Lynn B. Hall – Hookstown (Greene Twp)

Lynn B. Hall, 74 of Hookstown (Greene Twp) died peacefully on Christmas morning, December 25, 2023 in the comfort of his home. Born March 10, 1949 in Weirton, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Clyde Vincent and Evelyn Marie (Call) Hall.

A graduate of South Side High School, class of 1967, Lynn was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving as a SP4 in the US Army. He was a retired pipefitter with Weirton Steel and after retiring from there, he spent 27 years working at Falconi Automotive in Moon Twp. He was a Hookstown baseball coach for both of his sons along with being a Cub Scout Leader for them as well. After returning from Germany his love of cars began with a purchase of a 1971 Chevelle Hardtop. He enjoyed working on classic cars and teaching his sons how to restore them. Later in life he reached his dream of restoring a 1971 Chevelle convertible.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Dwain Hall, Ronald Ray Hall, Robert L. Hall, Juanita Patton Davis, Phyllis Zdybicki, Judith Ann Gayhart and Wanda Hamilton. Also his mother in law Mary Jane (Crow) Reed. Surviving is his wife of 51 years Helen Irene (Reed) Hall, his sons Bruce and Brian Hall, a brother, James R. Hall, and his best friend since high school, Walter Searight. Proud grandfather of 3, Brianna Searight, Colton Hall and Ava Culp. Great grandfather of 2, Mea and Jo Searight.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where his service will be held Sunday at 2 pm. Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church will officiate.
