Ruth M. ‘Nana’ Hineman
Ruth M. “Nana” Hineman, 94, of Georgetown, passed peacefully Monday evening, January 9, 2017, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, with family at her side.
Born March 6, 1922, in Moon Twp., she was a daughter of the late Alvie Earl and Sara Ella (Doyle) Rambo. A homemaker, she was a loving mother and grandmother known to many as simply “Nana.” She attended the Hookstown Free Methodist Church and was a longtime member of the South Side Senior Citizens group.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Hineman, in 1998; brothers, Lester, Francis, Chester and Earl Rambo, and sisters, Louise White and Hazel Ruble.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Susan Hineman, Chester, W.Va., and Gary and Darla Hineman, Beaver; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Hineman, Beaver; two sisters, Catherine Hughes, Rochester, and Pearl Reese, Florida; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Darlene and Tim Harris, with whom she resided; Tom and Sue Hineman, Ross and Marcie Hineman, Kevin and Brasilia Hineman, Brian and Dina Hineman, Harry Hineman and Bruce and Cami Hineman; 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, where her services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski, of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, will officiate.
Private entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
