Joyce M. Potts – Hookstown

Joyce M. Potts, 89 of Hookstown passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 26, 2024 at Heritage Valley Sewickley surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born May 16, 1934 in Chester, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Mary Elizabeth (Gladwell) Fetty. In addition to being a homemaker, she attended the Hookstown Free Methodist Church and enjoyed anything related to gardening, sweets and just being a mom.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer B. Potts whom she missed very much. Brothers Larry and Raymond Fetty. She is survived by her children Bruce & his wife Linda Potts, Steve Potts, Brian and his wife Margie Potts, Ursula and her husband Brian Miller and Beth Ann Halulko and her late husband J.D. Halulko. Her sister Linda Yost and her sister-in-law Ruby Fetty. Grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 12.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where her service will be held Wednesday at 11 am. Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery; Georgetown. Memorials in her name can be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter, 715 Gas Valley Rd., New Cumberland, W.V. 26047 or the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, 255 Main St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050.
