James D. “Doug” Johnson – Hookstown (Greene Twp.)

James D. “Doug” Johnson, 68 of Hookstown (Greene Twp.) passed Thursday, December 4, 2025 at UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born January 27, 1957 in Frenchburg, Kentucky, he was a son of the late James Lilburn & Cynthia (Charles) Johnson. Doug had worked as a logger in the timber industry, a member of the NRA he was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, riding quads and shooting pool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Daniel, a daughter Cyndi Johnson and a sister Bonnie Johnson.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Crystal Moore, his children Jamie Johnson, Rick Johnson and Summer Johnson. Brother of Tarry Johnson, Kenny Johnson, Brenda Johnson & Gail & her husband Sam Goodpastor. Special grandchildren are Emmett Johnson & Kinsey Crouch with an expected granddaughter along with several other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Saturday, December 20th from 2 pm, until the time of service at 4 pm. Cremation has taken place with interment to follow in Kentucky at a later date.
