Daisy Mae Jones – ALIQUIPPA (RACCOON TWP.)

Daisy Mae Jones, 91, of Aliquippa (Raccoon Twp.), died Tuesday morning, May 17, 2016, peacefully in the comfort of her home.

Born January 15, 1925, in Cadius, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Otto ‘Yock’ and Myrtle ‘Heal’ (Wilson) Jenkins. A homemaker and Methodist by faith, she had worked as a time keeper for J&L Steel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer F. Jones, in 1991, and two stepchildren, Lena Waxler and Bill Jones.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Patricia Barker of Beaver Falls; a brother, John Jenkins of Ohio, and five sisters, Harriet McElhaney of Ohio, Martha Jerich of Aliquippa, Alice Evans of WV, Jane Jenkins of TN, and Shirley Jenkins of AL. A grandson, Raymond Barker Jr., also survives. Her stepchildren are Barb Miller and Bob Jones.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the time of her service at 6 p.m. The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski, of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Hookstown Cemetery.
