Sherrie L. Ramsey – Georgetown (Hanover Twp.)

Sherrie L. Ramsey, 67 of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.) passed peacefully Sunday evening, June 7, 2026 in the comfort of her daughter’s home with family at her side. Sherrie was born December 31, 1958 in Weirton. A daughter of the late Herbert D. & Lorene M. (Hostutler) Morris. Sherrie was a very involved member of the Colliers Way Church of Christ, an insurance agent with Nationwide for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors camping with her late husband Samuel and family at their camp at Geneva on the lake. She was also an avid reader of many authors and books.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Samuel K. Ramsey on July 13, 2013 and a brother Herbert Stephen Morris. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws Jennifer & Wayne Ramsey-Carson and their daughter Ava Ramsey Simmons, Colleen & Gordon Ramsey her sister and brother-in-law Cheryl & Curtis Butler and her dear friend, Debra McGrath & her husband Eric.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St. Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Saturday, June 13th from 11 am until the time of her service at 1 pm. Her pastor Brian Renk will officiate. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery; Georgetown.
