Born November 1, 1971 in Oakdale, she is the beloved daughter of Cathy (Smitsky) McAfee and the late Charles W. McAfee. Amy J. Sickelsmith, 48 of Aliquippa (Hanover Twp.) passed unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, February 25, 2025 in the Weirton Medical, Center. Born May 4, 1976 in Sewickley, she is the beloved daughter of JoAnn Snyder and the late Gene Sickelsmith Sr.
Mother of Dalton Sickelsmith, Trevonne Thornton, Jayden Smith, Hailey Krepps and the late Jared T. Sickelsmith and Brady Sickelsmith. Her sister, Elizabeth and her husband Todd Bost, grandchildren Jeremiah, Emmett and Klyde, aunt of Ian and his wife Nichole Sickelsmith and their children Landon & Jaxon, and Jacob Williams. William F. “Bill” Coon, 90 of Clinton (Independence Twp.) passed Monday morning February 24, 2025 in the comfort of his home with family at his side. Born December 29, 1934 in Carlisle, PA. He was a son of the late Frank and Ruby (Bair) Coon. Bill was a member of the Mill Creek EPC of Hookstown and a retired heavy equipment operator and supervisor with Operating Engineers Local #66 of Pittsburgh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law Darrell Musser and 2 sisters, Margaret Smalley and Faye Coon. Continue reading

LeBaron Lewis (Barry) 85 of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.) passed Thursday afternoon, February 20, 2025 at Heritage Valley Sewickley with family at his side. Born March 14, 1939 in Philipsburg, PA., he was the son of the late George and Marion (Rothrock) Lewis.
LeBaron had worked on the ramp with US Airways for over 32 years and drove bus for South Side School district for another 23 years. He was a member of the Frankfort Springs Presbyterian Church. Continue reading

Evelyn M. Telesz, 83 of Aliquippa (Raccoon Twp.) passed Friday morning, February 7, 2025 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born November 27, 1941 in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late William Gregg and Elsie (Moore) McElhaney. A homemaker, Evelyn was a member of the Mill Creek EPC of Hookstown where she served as a Deacon and worked for years with the Kids Club.

David P. Halulko, 83 of Georgetown passed Saturday morning, February 1, 2025 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Born February 7, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (McCoy) Halulko. Dave was a retired steel worker retiring from J & L Specialty Products in Midland. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was a life-long member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. Dave enjoyed traveling, seeing 49 states and telling stories about his adventures. He loved muscle cars, racing, and his favorite fur baby, Ellie. Continue reading

Judith K. Shannon, 84 of Georgetown (Greene Twp.) passed Sunday morning, January 26, 2025 at Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chippewa with family at her side. Born January 14, 1941 in Brothersvalley twp., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Weimer) Hewitt.
Along with being a homemaker, she drove bus for the Southside School District for over 25 years. She enjoyed her time working as a bus driver and was a woman devoted to her family. Continue reading

Barbara Ann Heizler, 85 of Hookstown (Greene Twp.) passed Wednesday morning, January 22, 2025 at Celebration Villa; Chippewa twp. Born January 3, 1940 in Nobelstown, she was a daughter of the late Henry A. and Estella E. (Lynch) Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Heizler Jr., a brother William Smith, her son Bill Heizler, and her sister Brenda Phillips.
Surviving are her sons, David Heizler, Robert and his wife Gloria Heizler, and Bill and his wife Jessica Heizler. Sister of Judy Blessley, and her stepbrother Stevie Kushner. Also, grandmother of 4. Continue reading
Charles A. Graham – Hookstown
Charles A. Graham, 92 of Hookstown, passed Monday morning, January 20, 2025 in the comfort of his home with family at his side. Born August 16, 1932 in Shippingport, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Edith (Hughes) Graham. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army as a Cpl. He retired from Sun Oil Co. in Vanport, where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church. Also, a lifetime member of the Hookstown American Legion, where he held numerous positions thru the years. Also, the NRA, Hancock County Senior Citizens and the South Side Senior Citizens. Also, a member of the Trail Riders band, playing the guitar. Continue reading
