William ‘Bill’ Boyd Gordon – BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP
William B. Gordon died Thursday, November 3, 2016.
Born October 8, 1931, in Rochester, Pa., the son of the late Charles Hampton and Lilian (Issac) Gordon. He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by brothers, Donald and Conway.
He was the Director of Fire and Safety at The Medical Center, Beaver, retiring in 1992 and was the long time Fire Chief of the Brighton Twp. Vol. Fire Department serving from 1965 until he “retired” in 1992. He was a veteran of the PA National Guard and the U.S. Army.
Survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Marjorie; nephews, Daniel Gordon and Gary (Keana) Gordon; great-niece, Suzanne Gordon, and great-nephews, Samuel, Conway and Charles William Gordon, all of Brighton Twp.
Friends will be received at the J.T. ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 205 College Ave., Beaver, (724-774-5760), on Monday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to noon where a service will be held at noon. Interment will follow in Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
Full Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force Military Honor Guard.
Arrangements are being coordinated by his nephew, Dan, and the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, Hookstown.
