William A. Tingler – GEORGETOWN

William A. Tingler, 54, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died Saturday evening, January 23, 2016, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Born May 22, 1961 in Weirton, WV, he was a son of the late Leo and Helen (Glass) Tingler. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and raising cattle on the family farm started by his parents; also where he was raised and passed away on. He was employed by Bayer Corp. (Convestro) as a senior lab technician.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jeremy Lockhart.

Surviving are his wife, Debra (Buckel) Tingler and his sons, William W. Tingler of Hookstown, Frank and his wife Danielle Tingler of Georgetown and William Lockhart of Hookstown. Also surviving is a sister and brother-in-law, Dolly and Elmer McLaughlin of Georgetown; two granddaughters, Kassidy and Kelly Tingler of Hookstown, and his special canine companion, “Reb”.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.  The Rev. Kevin Neal of the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.

Memorials in his name can be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
