Virginia (Channing) Warnock – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TOWNSHIP)

Virginia (Channing) Warnock, 74, of Hookstown (Greene Township), went  to be with Jesus on Thursday morning, Feb. 14, 2013. She died peacefully in her home after an extended illness.

Born July 26, 1938, in Weirton, WV, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Mildred (Allen) Channing. Ginny was a registered nurse, having worked at the Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, East Liverpool City Hospital, and most recently the Gateway Rehab Center. She was a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was welcomed into heaven by her late siblings, Blain and Paul Channing and June Bradley.

Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Bill Warnock; children and their spouses, Ted (Bonna) Warnock, Wellsville, OH; David  (Nora) Warnock, Burgettstown, PA; Leanne  (Todd) Williams, Vicki  (Scott) Robertson, all of Hookstown; sister of Wayne (Jeannette) Channing; Kathryn (Tom) Michell, James (Alice) Channing and Darald  (Pat) Channing, all of Weirton, WV; also surviving are sisters-in-law, Jean Channing, Weirton, WV; Verna Thompson, New Castle; 12 beloved grandchildren, Cody, Carly, Grant, Shane, Dana, and Glory Warnock; Sam, Ben, and Max Williams; Elaine, Seth, and Melissa Robertson.

Family and friends can celebrate her life with us at the McCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine Street, Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner/Director, on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, officiating assisted by Rev. Bryan Thiessen of the Journey Assembly of God, Bridgeville, PA.

Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
