Thomas R. Harding Sr. – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TWP.)

Thomas R. Harding Sr., 68, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.), died Tuesday afternoon, February 9, 2016, in UPMC Presbyterian.

Born February 19, 1947, in Aliquippa, a son of the late James Charles and Helen (Vidovich) Harding, he had worked as a steelworker with the J&L Steel Corp., Aliquippa Works, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a corporal during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a younger brother.

Surviving is his significant other of 30 years, Diane L. Oravitz of Hookstown. He is also survived by a son, Thomas R. Jr. and his wife Tammy Harding of Cranberry Twp., and their children, Bethany, Jacob and Mason Harding; a stepson, Nicholas Oravitz of Pittsburgh and his daughter Haylee; a stepdaughter and her husband, Karen and Jim Paulus of Munhall, and their daughter, Faith Ann, and a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Bill Freed of Mercer County.

There will be no visitation. Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at the Christian House Baptist Chapel, 814 Route 18, Aliquippa, PA 15001. Rev. Thomas Knowles will officiate.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to one’s favorite charity in his name.
