Steven W. Streng Sr. – HOOKSTOWN (HANOVER TWP.)

Steven W. Streng Sr., 73, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, May 25, 2016, in the comfort of his home.

Born April 23, 1943, in Meyersdale, PA, he was a son of the late Arthur Franklin Streng Sr. and Osi Leona (Christener) Streng. A cement mason, he had worked in the construction industry for Local 526 for over 50 years. An avid motorcyclist and hunter, he enjoyed farming on his property and adored his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Robin R. (Moore) Streng, whom he married on September 6, 1981. Also surviving are his children, Steven B. Streng and Rashelle Marshall, Austin D. Streng, Rene L. Fowler, and Bill and Laurie Streng; his sisters, Janet and her late husband Bart LoRusso, and Linda, and six grandchildren, Leah Streng, Mary Streng, Mason Fowler, Lacey Streng, Hunter Streng and Lucas Schulz.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday, May 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050. Services will be private and cremation will follow.
