Steven C. Waxler – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TOWNSHIP)

Steven C. Waxler, 57, of Hookstown (Greene Township), died peacefully Wednesday morning November 5, 2014, in the comfort of his home in the arms of his daughter. 

Born April 17, 1957 in Rochester, he was the beloved son of Frank C. Waxler of Hookstown and the late Arlene (Barton) Waxler who died Dec. 3, 1996.  He had worked as a lead dock hand for the former Bax Global Co. of Moon Twp.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Joseph Tuttle and loved being with his family.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a special friend of 32 years, Kathleen M. (New) DeCapio of Hookstown; his daughters, Kellie and her husband, Kevin Booth of Texas, and Samantha New of Hookstown and his beloved grandchildren, Joseph BeBault, Jadyn Booth, Jessi Booth, and Jaelynn Norwood. He was the brother of Daniel Waxler of Youngstown, OH and Debra and her husband Ron Beal of Chester, WV, and the late Michael Waxler, who died March 30, 2010. 

Friends are welcome to call Saturday in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, from 6 to 8 p.m.  Cremation will take place.  Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
