Shirley Oscar Price – Chester, W.V.

Shirley Oscar Price, 76, of Chester, died Saturday, February 16, 2019, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Born September 14, 1942, in Aliquippa, he was a son of the late Woodrow Canden and Thelma (Roberts) Price. A 1962 graduate of Southside High School, he had worked as a machine operator at the former Horsehead Industries in Monaca. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene (Weaver) Price; two brothers, William and Charles Price; a sister, Brenda Anderson; a sister-in-law, Carol Price and brothers-in-law, Paul Wilcoxen and Mike Baker.

Surviving are his three sons and their spouses, Donald and Trish Price, Dennis and Michele Price and David Price, all of Chester; a brother, Robert Price of Clinton; his sisters, Patty and Mark Culley of Hookstown, Peggy Wilcoxen of Chester, Carol and Richard Creese of Lisbon, Beverly Baker of Hookstown, Sue and Chan Hersteine of Va., and Vicky and Tom Smith of Ohio; sisters-in-law, Anna Price of Ohio and Bootsie Price of Clinton and a brother-in-law, Mark Anderson of Lisbon. He is the grandfather of six, Dillion, Dakota, Dominica, Jacob, Peyton and Darias Price.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050 on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where his services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
