Ruth Eileen Potts-CLINTON (HANOVER TWP.)

Ruth Eileen Potts, 92, of Clinton (Hanover Township), died Monday evening, July 9, 2012, at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born March 29, 1920, in Toronto, Ohio, she was the last surviving child born to the late Bert and Ada (Glasure) Peterson. A homemaker, Ruth was a member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church and formerly belonged to the Hookstown American Legion Auxiliary and the Hookstown Grange.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ward Potts Sr.; a son, Howard Potts, and a daughter, Sharon Eileen Smith.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John Ward Jr. and his wife Geraldine Marie Potts of Georgetown and David Neil and his wife Anna Potts of Clinton. She was a grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of nine.

As per her wishes, cremation will take place with inurnment at a later date in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
