Ruth A. Cain – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TOWNSHIP)

Ruth A. Cain, 78, of Hookstown (Greene Township), died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, November 11, 2012, at her Hookstown residence.

Born June 30, 1934, in Hookstown, she was the only child born to the late Harold W. and Mary Elizabeth (Mercer) Cain. Ruth was a retired teacher, a well known nature lover and had been a columnist for the Panhandle Press.

Surviving are several cousins.

As per her request, cremation has taken place.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her memorial service on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director. The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski, of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, will officiate.
