Ronald L. Patton – Hookstown
Ronald L. Patton, 71 of Hookstown passed peacefully Monday evening, April 8, 2024 surrounded by the love of family and friends at the Weirton Medical Center, after a courageous hard fought battle with cancer. Born May 14, 1952 in Weirton, he was a son of the late Norman and Jaunita (Hall) Patton. Ron had worked as a diesel mechanic in the trucking industry and was a veteran having served in the US Army. A kind hearted man, he was known to help anyone in need and will be missed by all that knew him. He shared his love of classic cars with his grandsons and cousins Bruce and Brian Hall. He enjoyed restoring them along with John Deere Tractors. He also enjoyed car races and old John Wayne westerns.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Penny (Stickles) Patton, his sister Diane Pindilli and a daughter in law, Lynn Roberts. He is survived by the love of his life, Karen McNary, his children and their spouses Melanie (John) Bigler, Ronald L. (Russ ) Patton II, Ronald (Christine) Roberts, Jaime McCord and Rachel (Tanner) Wilson. His brother-in-law Joe Pindilli and his lifelong friend Larry Stephens. Beloved Pop Pop of 8, Jake, Ashlee, Brad (Ashlee), Andy, Zane, Lee, Miranda and Michaela.
Great grandfather of 3. Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA. 15050 on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where his service will be held Saturday at 11 am. Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church officiating. Military honors will be performed at the funeral home after his service and he will be laid to rest in the Grandview Cemetery; Florence.
The family would like to thank all of his doctors that took such good care of him along with the staff at AHN Beaver Cancer Center and the level 5 staff at Weirton Medical Center. Members of the Beaver County Special Unit are asked to meet at McConnell Funeral Home, Saturday, April 13th for 11:30 am honors.
