Robert G. Fobes Sr. – SEWICKLEY

Robert G. Fobes Sr., 80, of Sewickley, died Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012, in the Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.

Born Feb. 10, 1932, in Neville Island, he was a son of the late William and Mary Ellen (Hunter) Fobes. He worked as a dispatcher with J&L Steel.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a stepson, Tim Smith; a brother, Paul Fobes and his first wife, Phyllis (Hicks) Fobes.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Audrie (Burris) Smith Fobes; four children, Nadine Fobes, Monaca; Norine (Bob) Fobes, Arizona; Robert Fobes Jr., Imperial and Lorraine McDonald, Neville Island; six stepchildren, Thomas (Vicki) Smith, Ohio; Randy (Doreen) Smith, Rochester; Larry (Lori) Smith, Hookstown; Lori (Tim) Chaffin, Florida; Robert (and friend, Tina) Smith, Clinton and Cindy (Robert) Sipes, Franklin Park and a sister, Vivian Walker, Baden. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends and family are welcomed to call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine Street, Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner/Director, where a service will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Gibson of the North Buffalo Township Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
