Richard G. Newbauer – BEAVER (Vanport Twp.)
Richard G. Newbauer, 83, of Beaver (Vanport Township), passed Friday morning, January 8, 2016, in Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born April 9, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he was the only son born to the late Ralph and Jane (Conrad) Newbauer. He was a retired owner and operator of Balzer’s Heating and Air Conditioning for over 40 years, and was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict, a member of the Crafton Guyasuta Lodge No. 513 F&AM and also enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth P. (Phillips) Newbauer, whom he wed April 19, 1958; two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig G. and his wife Libby Newbauer, Georgetown, and Mark R. and his wife Robin Newbauer, East Liverpool, Ohio, and four beloved grandchildren, Justin Newbauer, Erica and her husband John Walker, Marissa Newbauer, and Morgan Newbauer.
Family and friends are welcome to call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Rod Smith, of the Chippewa United Methodist Church, will officiate.
He will be laid to rest in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Members of the Beaver County Special Unit are to meet at the cemetery Monday at 11:45 a.m. to conduct military honors.
