Ralph David Mortimer – SHIPPINGPORT

Ralph David Mortimer, 62, of Shippingport, died Thursday afternoon, August 3, 2017, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on July 17.

Born July 28, 1955, in Rochester, a son of the late Ralph A. and Marjorie (Russell) Mortimer, he had worked as a truck driver in the hauling industry and was a peacetime veteran.

A long time Shippingport councilman, he also was a member of the Shippingport VFD. He enjoyed gunsmithing and computer repair.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy Ann (Rybacki) Mortimer; two daughters, Crystal Mortimer and Matt Nelson, Shippingport, and Natalie and Jason Crooks, Hookstown; brother of Andrew (Debbie) Mortimer, Mississippi; Alice (Tony) Troia, Monaca; and Donna Basinger, Shippingport and three beloved grandchildren, Gabriel Shope, Jayson and Cassidy Crooks.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, where services will be held at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Wilmur J. Olszewski, of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, officiating.
