Patricia Ann Williams – FORMERLY OF SHIPPINGPORT

Patricia Ann Williams, 77, formerly of Shippingport, died on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, with her family at her side.

Born Dec. 17, 1936, in Natrona Heights, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Sylvester Stanowski and Helen Kolakowski and also her stepfather, John Melvin Long.

A homemaker, Patricia was a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church, Shippingport, the Southside Senior Citizen’s Group, Shippingport Red Hat Society and the   T.O.P.s Organization.  She loved playing bingo, cards and traveling.  She was  a former member of the Shippingport Ladies Auxiliary and the Boy Scouts of America/Allegheny Trails District where she was awarded the District of Award of Merit.

In addition to her parents and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George Harry Williams whom she wed on May 2, 1956. 

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Brent and his wife Danielle Williams, Shippingport; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John “Sonny” and his wife, Ann Frank, Lake Wales, FL and Brian and his wife, Lisa Long, Lisbon, CT; three beloved grandchildren, Slayton, Lucian and Tessa Williams; her godchild, Letitia Shavinsky-Jeram, Canonsburg, and her favorite uncle, John Kolakowski, Harrisburg.

Family and friends may call in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  Everyone is asked to meet at the Green Valley United Methodist Church, Shippingtport, on Saturday, Nov. 22, where her services will be conducted at 10 a.m. by her pastor, the Rev. Susan Pickering.

She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
