Norma Jean Black – CLINTON (HANOVER TWP.)

Norma Jean Black, 74, of Clinton (Hanover Twp.), died Wednesday morning, September 23, 2015, in the comfort of her home.

Born Dec. 2, 1940, in Canaan, WV, a daughter of the late John D. and Ruby Marie (Gould) Rice, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Community Bible Church, Aliquippa, and a former bus driver for the Community Bible’s Church’s School, Bethel Christian School. She also enjoyed embroidery.

Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Samuel L. Black, whom she married Dec. 23, 1960; beloved mother of Donna (Daniel) Kozarovich, Clinton; Laura (Mark) Fishburn, Indiana; Randall Black, Columbus; Daniel (Heather) Black, New Jersey and Steven Black, Columbus; sister of Vera Halstead and Janet Hendrix, both of Florida; John E. Rice, Ohio; Frank Rice, Hookstown; Robert Rice, Gibsonia; Joe Rice, Tennessee and Jerry Rice, Hookstown. Also surviving are six grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to call Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director. Everyone is asked to meet on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at the Community Bible Church, 4549 Route 151, Aliquippa, PA 15001, where her service will be held at 11 a.m. Her pastor, the Rev. Robert W. Kern, officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
