Mildred F. ‘Midge’ Weaver – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)

Mildred F. “Midge” Weaver, 75, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 28, 2014, in Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born December 23, 1939, in East Liverpool, OH, a daughter of the late Edward and Jessie (Crow) Wilkinson, Midge had worked with the Stop-N-Go store chains, retiring from the Stop-N-Go Center Twp. store. She was an avid photographer, enjoyed cooking and doing crafts with her grandchildren. She was a member and deacon of the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Harry W. Weaver; children and their spouses: Richard J. Janicki and Sheila Burton of Maryland; Renee Y. (Michael) Hubbard, Georgetown; Doreen A. (Richard) Falk, North Carolina; Diana L. Welsh and Jeffrey Wilkerson, New Castle; Michael W. (Kathy) Weaver, Ambridge; Denise M. Perkins, Hopewell Twp.; the late Mary H. Shannon and Donna J. (John) Rork, Texas. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Louise (Keith) Kratzert of Virginia, sister-in-law of Harold Gareis of Georgetown and Donald Woodling of Hookstown, and her beloved dog, Misty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Richard A. Janicki; two sisters, Marie Gareis and Shirley Woodling, and a brother, E. David Wilkinson.

Family and friends are welcome to call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director. Everyone is asked to meet at the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church, 5005 Route 151, Hookstown, on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, where her services will be held at 11 a.m. Her pastor, the Rev. Nathan Weller, will officiate.

She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.

Memorials, if desired, may be made in Midge’s name to the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church, 5005 Route 151, Hookstown, PA 15050.
