Mary Anna ‘Jean’ Beers – ALIQUIPPA (HOPEWELL TWP.)

Mary Anna “Jean” Beers, 82, of Aliquippa (Hopewell Twp.), died Wednesday evening, December 4, 2013, in Rochester Manor.

Born December 20, 1930, in Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Fred F. and Ora R. (Hackworth) Ziegler. A homemaker, Mrs. Beers enjoyed sewing and was quite good at drawing and sketching.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles I. Beers, who died November 30, 2013.

Surviving are a sister, Martha Mayhue, Raccoon Twp., and her late husband Delbert; two sisters-in-law, Helen Ziegler, Beaver Falls, and her late husband Roy, and Marla Ziegler, Tennessee, and her late husband John; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to call at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until leaving for the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown, at 2:30 p.m. for a graveside committal service.

Memorials may be made in her name to one’s favorite charity.
