Mae Phillis – Formerly of Raccoon Township

Mae Phillis, 82, formerly of Raccoon Twp., died Friday evening, July 28, 2017, in the Brighton Wellness Center, Brighton Twp.

Born August 21, 1934, in Aliquippa, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Nettie (Gray) Keller. A homemaker, she attended the Community Bible Church of Aliquippa and was the retired Prothonotary of Beaver County having worked from 1996 until 1999.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John (Sam) Boyd, on August 2, 2010; a sister, Eleanor Coleman, and a son-in-law, Steve Cunningham.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Deborah (John) Allison of Georgetown, James (Joyce) Phillis of Cranberry Twp., Margaret Cunningham of Ohio, and Robert (Linda) Phillis of Independence Twp., and her sisters, Myrtle Mraovich of S.C., Joanne Dzubay and Janet Stewart, both of Texas. She was the grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of 10.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her graveside service Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Route 168, Georgetown, PA 15043. Pastor Robert Kern, of the Community Bible Church, will officiate.

Memorials in her name, if desired, can be made to the Community Bible Church, Route 151, Aliquippa, PA 15001.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Four Main staff at the Brighton Wellness Center for all the care and compassion extended to their mother during her stay there.

The MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, was entrusted with professional services.
