Lena Mae Cool – Masonic Village in Sewickley

Lena Mae Cool, 89, of the Masonic Village in Sewickley, passed peacefully Friday morning, January 6, 2023 at the Village. A long-time resident of the Clinton and Imperial area, she was born November 6, 1933 in Hookstown. A daughter of the late William C. and Elizabet Nelson (Frazer) Simpson. Lena had worked as a practical nurse in the health care industry, she was a member of the Clinton U.P. Church for many years, a 65-year member of the Frankfort Springs Grange, Findlay twp. Senior Citizens and was secretary/treasurer with the Hopewell Hebron Cemetery for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Lee Cool Jr. on June 12, 2003, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Dorothy and Ray Grimes. Lena is survived by a sister-in-law Judith (John) Labriola. A niece and nephews Kim, Scott and Wayne Grimes, a great nephew Nicholas Grimes. Cousins Janet Slack and Rev. Dr. John B. Simpson along with many church friends.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Monday from 4 to 8 pm. Her service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11 am in the Clinton U.P. Church, 25 Wilson Rd., Clinton, PA. 15026. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH. Her Pastor the Rev. Dr. Karen F. Younger will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Hopewell-Hebron Cemetery.
