Lawrence C. Phillis – FORMERLY OF ALIQUIPPA
Lawrence C. Phillis, 86, formerly of Aliquippa, died Tuesday morning, November 11, 2014, at Friendship Ridge.
Born Feb. 27, 1928, in Burgettstown, a son of the late Carlise S. and Pearl (Moore) Phillis, he worked as a customer service representative for Peoples Gas in Aliquippa for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Deborah and her husband, John Allison, Georgetown; James and his wife, Joyce Phillis, Cranberry Twp.; Margaret and her late husband, Steve Cunningham, Ohio and Robert and his wife, Linda Phillis, Independence Twp.; brother of John Wayne Phillis and his late wife, Evelyn; Harry Glenn and Bernice Phillis, George Irvin and Bernadette Phillis, William Earl and Jane Phillis, Roy Phillis and his late wife, Dorothy, and Susan Jane and her husband R. Brian Wilbur; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are welcome to call in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert W. Kern of the Community Bible Church of Aliquippa officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill, Cemetery, Georgetown.
