Karen Ann (Toogood) Miles – CARNEGIE

Karen Ann (Toogood) Miles, 63, of Carnegie, died peacefully Monday evening, May 6, 2013, in the Ohio Valley General Hospital, with her family at her side.

Born February 17, 1950, in Pittsburgh, she was the beloved daughter of Paul Bennett of Nevada and the late Catherine "Kay" (Braun) Bennett. Karen was a medical transcriptionist working in the healthcare field and was an avid animal lover.

In addition to her father, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alicia and Kevan Hudson, and a son, Victor Toogood, all of Clinton, and her sisters, Donna Bennett of Pittsburgh, Paula and her husband Richard Lex of Nevada, and Gwyn Behr of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, Emmy Jo, Andrew, Sadie and Dustyn; a beloved great-grandson, Kole; her ex-husband and lifelong friend, Bradford Toogood of Clinton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to attend her memorial service on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director. The Rev. Richard Herbster, of the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
