Johanna C. McBride – Hookstown (Greene Twp.)
With sad and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother and companion, Johanna C. McBride, 71, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.). After a good hard fight against ALS, her passing happened Tuesday evening, May 18, 2021, peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of family and friends. She fought the fight on her terms and her way.Born March 26, 1950, in Hershey, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Gasper) Snyder, Sr. Johanna had worked as a medical assistant in the health care industry, and most known in the area for being the best hairdresser around.
She is survived by her life partner Jon Nichols; her daughters, Jamie and her husband Eric Bowen, and Erika and her husband Dale Harris. Beloved grandmother of Hannah Searight, Allison Bowen, Zane and Austin Harris.
As per her request, there will be no visitation or services at this time, her daughters will announce a celebration of her life at a later date. Memorials in her name can be made to The ALS Association of Western Pennsylvania, 416 Lincoln Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15209.
