Jean Combs – formerly of Clinton (Hanover Twp.)

Jean Combs, 94, formerly of Clinton (Hanover Twp.), passed peacefully Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2023 at Victoria Manor in Oakdale. Born August 31, 1928 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Meryl Eugenia (McConnell) McCracken. Jean had worked as an office worker at the Oakland VA. Hospital and was a long-time member of the Community Bible Church of Aliquippa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence H. Combs on May 14, 2010, and a brother Ralph O. McCracken, Jr. and his late wife JoAnn Lounder.

Surviving is a niece Lori D. (Paul) Houlihan and nephews Dennis D. (Cathy) McCracken, Darrell D. (Maria) McCracken and Charles (Marcy) Lounder. Great nieces Leigh Anne (Phil) McGivern and Erika and Remi Lounder. Great nephews Dennis McCracken, Myles Houlihan, Spencer (Rachel) Lounder and Alec Lounder and two great great nieces Shannon and Maggie McGivern. Her step sons Mark (Ann) Combs, Gary (Joni) Combs and Craig (Susan) Combs.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa. 15050 on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 4 until 8 pm. Everyone is asked to meet at the Community Bible Church, 4549 Route #151, Aliquippa, Pa. 15001 on Saturday, June 24, 2023, where her service will be held at 11 am. Pastor Robert Kern will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Grandview Cemetery; Burgettstown.
