Jane Lombard – FRANKFORT SPRINGS BORO

Jane Lombard, 85, of Hookstown (Frankfort Springs Boro) , died Wednesday morning, April 4, 2012, in the comfort of her residence, surrounded by her family.

Born in Greene Township (Hookstown) on January 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marguerite (Ewing) Lombard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite Majors, and three brothers, Thomas "Tut", Jack and Eugene Jr. "Doc" Lombard.

Jane is survived by her sisters, Anna Louise "Sis" and Sarah, and a brother, James and his wife Nancy. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews, and cherished friends and neighbors.

She was a lifelong member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church and more recently the Frankfort Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held at the Frankfort Presbyterian Church, 3326 State Route 18, Hookstown, PA 15050, on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at 3 p.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Allison Bauer, and Rev. Jefferson Ellis, officiating. There will be a brief gathering of the family before the service and a meal for all following the service provided by the Frankfort and Hanover Churches.

Burial will be private in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Frankfort Presbyterian Church.
