Helen Marie Scott – HOOKSTOWN

Helen Marie Scott, 85, of Hookstown, died Sunday evening, March 16, 2014, in the emergency room of Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born February 21, 1929, in Olive Hill, KY, a daughter of the late Harlan and Mary (Brooks) Clark, she had worked as a secretary within the U.S. Government.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Scott, in 1969.

Surviving are two brothers, Donald K. Garvin of Olive Hill, KY, and George Garvin of Calcutta, OH; a sister, Garnet Cassell of Olive Hill, KY, and a close friend, Andy Jodikinos Sr. of Clinton.

Family and friends are welcome to call Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the time of her services at 1 p.m. at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director. The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski, of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, will officiate.

She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.
