Helen M. Tingler – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)
Helen M. Tingler, 84, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died peacefully Sunday morning, Aug. 31, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.
Born June 1, 1930, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the last surviving child born to the late Floyd and Nora (Cain) Glass. A homemaker, Mrs. Tingler enjoyed the outdoors and square dancing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo W. Tingler; a daughter, Sharon Tingler, and a son, Butch Tingler; a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Roland McAffee.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Dolly and Elmer McLaughlin, Georgetown, and a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Debbie Tingler, Georgetown. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Leo McLaughlin, Brenda Fisher, Billie Jo Riter, William Tingler, Frank Tingler and William Lockhart. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are welcome to call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, where her services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kevin Neal of the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, officiating.
She will be laid to rest beside her late husband in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
