Geraldine Marie Potts – Georgetown (Greene Twp.)
Born August 28, 1939, in St. Marys, Pa., she was the beloved daughter of the late Howard and Anne (Bolitski) McClain. A homemaker, Geraldine was an avid crafter until her illness prevented, and she loved working in her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry McClain; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth McClain, and a granddaughter, Chelsea Kerner.
Surviving are her husband of 34 years, John W. Potts; her children and their spouses, James and Christine Kerner, Thomas Kerner, and Michael and Kim Kerner, all of Ohio, and Dawn and Dan McElhaney, Hookstown; her stepchildren, Aaron and Tamika Potts, Calcutta; Janika Owen, Florida, and Johnna Potts, Illinois; her siblings, Chuck McClain, Ridgway, Pa.; Joseph and Sue McClain, St. Marys; Judie and Don Sidelinger, St. Marys, and Jackie and Mike Altman, Ohioville, and a sister-in-law, Patty McClain, St. Marys. She was the proud grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of five.
Family and friends are welcome to call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, where a service will be held Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski, of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church, officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
